“Life is like a box of chocolates…you never know what you’re gonna get”
So simple yet so true! Unless you take a bite out of each and every piece of chocolate in your box of chocolates called LIFE you will never know what the upcoming emotion, sensation or even tribulation will be. Even though curiosity killed the cat, we as humans live for the adrenaline rush of the unknown. Sometimes we regret our decisions and ponder on the “what ifs” of life. What if I would have tried that other chocolate that was silently calling my name or that chocolate that didn’t look very enticing but now for some reason it sparks an interest deep down inside of me.
My quest to find “The One’ has taken me down a pretty interesting path. I’ve noticed that sexting seems to be the new norm. Could this be a way of pushing back on the box of chocolates metaphor? Maybe we really can know what we’re gonna get. If not we had fun trying right?
Being the curios person I am; I researched what drives us to sexting. I found that some of us do it for mere carnal reasons, while some are just narcissists and some (for the most part) are in dire need of attention. That lack of attention from his/her significant other is so blatantly obvious. That need to feel wanted and desired is a void that needs filling. I could sit here and write for days about how I would prey on unsuspecting vulnerable women but that would be a lie. I am ultimately looking for love and I can’t be “that guy’.
I guess the takeaway to all of this is that whoever is reading this may learn to appreciate what they’ve got! Savor that piece of chocolate like it’s the last one in the box. If you don’t take care of your partner someone else will and they won’t be so nice as to write a blog with a small forewarning J.
Fellas: I challenge you to come home today and when you see your wife/gf may the first words out of your mouth be: “Hi BEAUTIFUL! You sure do look sexy!! “ Let me know how that works out for ya!!
